What am I missing?? Why would the NCAA want 3pt % to be down? That makes no sense, more 3's equal more scoring which most people like.

If true, wouldn't that impact both teams equally? Unlike football where balls are swapped in/out.

I suppose if one team was a more dominant 3pt shooting team then it would impact them by a larger margin.
