Plus McLaughlin and Harris leave the game limping (McLaughlin in obvious pain and needing assistance to walk.) Within 2 points at under 8 mins in the 4th quarter and then we go over 7 1/2 mins without a FG and lose by 12. I know Iowa is good but our Boilers looked inept. Very discouraging.

Can't fault the Boilers for not battling all the way, but Iowa just a superior team. Some 3's and the unexpected aggressiveness of Traylor kept us in the game late, but we had no answer for their offense. Their guards drive continually, then pass off to their bigs who we are helpless against. Again, we run clock to the end a lot and take what shots we get and if we miss a bunch go into a funk like the 4th quarter, we are toast. On to Wisc now, a team we should beat, but if we lose Mc for a while could be bad news. Season not going up at all.
P.S. Looking at the schedule, the road game at Wisc is key. Should beat Il on road and MSU at home, lose to Md, beat OSU on Senior Day. 10-8 (19-11) and a first round bye in BTT. Still a skinny NCAA shot.

Good analysis. I'd love to see this team "click" at least once this year. Seems like we don't get to see most or all of the team having good to great games all together. Today's a good example, while the "big three" struggled some, Purdue gets some solid contributions from others. In other games when McLaughlin and/or Oden and/or Harris have had solid games then production from others has lacked. Still a few games left - hopefully it'll happen at least once yet.
