Currently show on talking about how Network came about w/Fox after ESPN shut them down. Pretty interesting...I had heard stories but good to hear Delaney talk about how it really happened.

I know there are critics of BTN but the bottom line for me is I have watched many PU sporting events I would never have been able to see w/o it living out here on the East Coast.

I can tell you the difference in the number of games I get to see is night-and-day different and I don't even live outside of Indiana. In the South Bend TV market I only got a handful of games each year before BTN. Now I see pretty much every single football and basketball game except for perhaps a couple of basketball exhibitions or buy games.

Love the story about the creation of the network and how ESPN basically screwed up by low-balling us and opening the door for someone to try a conference network which has cost them tons in rights fees since.

Oh....!!! And stating the obvious, I finally found a way to get BTN. Discovered DIRECTV NOW !! Was unable to get it by satellite but now that it has gone mobile with it and Apple TV I now see all 55" of my Old Gold & Black!!!

Despite some of the content (certain commentators)/technical issues from time to time.....I have grown to appreciate the additional resource and the opportunity to see more Purdue games. Oh, and I have no problem with seeing Delaney "sticking" it to ESPN any chance he gets.
