Just dropped off my older son at college in Colorado (DU) a few days ago. He told me he'd like to still watch Purdue BB games together (his school's forte is hockey, lacrosse, & skiing not hoops), and I told him I'd try to figure out the best way to do that. It seems like synchronization is the toughest trick - we often watch DVR'd games. I'm sort of thinking Facetime or Skype, where I point my device's camera at the TV might be the way to go - solves the sync problem.

Anyone have a great solution for this? And BTW, yes I'm aware his interest in doing this may completely evaporate well before the season starts :).

I have Skype on Windows and with the last few versions it's possible to share screen and audio. I use it all the time to watch movies and shows with my girlfriend, even if she is on the other side of the world, it works great for us.
