OT: Someone Help me with the Math....

One second remaining in Michigan/Michigan State game after MSU scores a touchdown to make the score 30-23. MSU first lines up to go for two. Michigan calls time out......announcers basically say they don't understand the thinking of going for two.

MSU tries an option play for two.....fumbles the pitch and Michigan returns the botched conversion try for two points and a 32-23 final score after Michigan runs off the last second on offense.

Five points is usually no better than six in that scenario....granted MSU would have needed a miracle anyway, but I'd be interested to hear Dantonio's response on why he went for two.

Only thing I can think of is it would have assured them a win with another TD, even if they missed the PAT
