Anybody watch Arizona play much this year? They seem to be a very good team who is getting hot at the right time. Would it be crazy for me to pick them to win it all?

EDIT: Anyone know how to edit the topic name so I can add OT?

go to edit, and near the top right of the thread (next to the unwatch/Post New Thread boxes), there should be a drop down (with a tool emblem) for you to click and choose to edit the Title.

I've seen a little bit of them this year....athletic, can defend when they make the effort. Can score inside and outside and play up-tempo or slow-down. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get out of the Regional and make the short trip to Phoenix. However, if they get there, I think they'll run into somebody who will take them down.

IMO, they just don't quite have the consistency you'd like....if they did....they would be a very smart pick. Now, they did have a key starter (Allonzo Trier) who was out for a good part of the year....so you'd have to factor that in as well. I'd probably pick them for the FF partly because I think the West looks like the weakest bracket. I've seen a bunch of picks for the FF with AZ, and one or two winning it all.

They're good. Only 4 losses this year, and 2 were very early when they didn't have one of their best players (Trier) who has averaged 16.5 points while shooting 40% from 3 since coming back, including being the MVP of the Pac12 tourney, which Zona won over a good Oregon team. I'm not sure they would be my favorite to win it all, but they are certainly in the conversation. They also have a 7 foot freshman that I know little about, but has averaged 15 ppg and 7.5 rpg while shooting better than 43% from distance. Seem to be a well balanced team.

Win it all is a crapshoot for anyone...

However, I do think they have a pretty friendly bracket. Not to discount smaller teams, but their second round match-up is not easy, but they wouldn't be facing a major conference team - and I think there could be an upset or two in the top half of their bracket with Florida State/Maryland, which could give them a favorable match-up to get to the Elite 8. And the other half of the west bracket has Gonzaga in it - which obviously has some questions about how strong that team is, and if they don't make it Arizona would be favored in at best a #4 or #5 seed matchup to get to the Final Four.

I have them in the FF in one of my three pools. Very good at times, quick guards, but I'm not a Miller fan.

They are good. It would not be crazy.

I've seen them as high as 6th most likely (9/1) to win it all. So Vegas doesn't think it would be crazy at all, in fact they are more likely than 90% of the field.
