recently caught a couple of New Mexico games, they look really goodOh boy - this kid changes the landscape immediately and drastically.
don't want to see Tenn againUK is the one team I hope we don’t meet. Then again our poise and offensive efficiency has to wear on teams, especially freshmen.
After watching a ton of college hoop games yesterday, there are a bunch of teams that one can say, would give our Boilers trouble. I thought that after watching Kentucky, Seton Hall, Creighton and pretty much any Big 12 team. We know Purdue’s bracket will have a few of these teams. Thing is with all the upsets that occur, if Purdue just takes it, and wins, one game at a time, their road to winning 6 games won’t be as tough as we all think now, providing of course they shoot similarly to what they are now. Just keep telling the players of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
If dillingham gets hot, watch out. He will go on a 14-0 run by himself in a min and a half. Sheppard is very solid from the 3 and they have a senior in reeves who is pretty good. Their bigs are pretty talented too and Z helps them even more. And they’re ran by a Frosh guard in DJ Wagner who is pretty talented himself. If we see them, I hope it’s deep into the tourney. They are fun to watch. However they don't play D and rely on Freshman, so they won't be my pick. This year's tourney will likely once again be heavily influenced by the 24 year old Covid men playing against boys....just glad Purdue took advantage of it with a good one this year in Jones.
Shooting and turnovers. Keep rolling, Boilers. After watching a ton of college hoop games yesterday, there are a bunch of teams that one can say, would give our Boilers trouble. Houston can’t score, talent wise they can’t compare to Ky, would love to be in their bracket. As long as we’re putting teams out there I don’t wanna see I’ll add Houston. Don’t wanna see that defense. Seems to me tho, thetougher the opponent, the better Purdue seems focused and ready.
In the tourney, I don't want to play any team we've beaten this year. The less actual experience our opponent has in defending Zach, the better. Plus, there is the payback aspect that would motivate them.don't want to see Tenn again
Just hoping Purdue avoids the double digit seeds! ; )In the tourney, I don't want to play any team we've beaten this year. The less actual experience our opponent has in defending Zach, the better. Plus, there is the payback aspect that would motivate them.
There will always be lots of dangerous teams out there. The difference is that in the past we looked at the top teams as clear favorites over Purdue and now we view them as teams that could give Purdue problems. After watching a ton of college hoop games yesterday, there are a bunch of teams that one can say, would give our Boilers trouble. On the other hand, their defense gives them a chance in every game whether their offense shows up. Defensively, they are absolutely killing it in the metrics and their offensive rebounding is elite as well. I think that Zach would present problems for them, but I think that they are a top 5 team right now.Houston can’t score, talent wise they can’t compare to Ky, would love to be in their bracket.
the reason I mentioned Tenn is because they are very physical and have one star player, plus we were very fortunate to win that game because we lived at the FT line. In the Big Dance don't know if we would get that many calls in our favor. In the tourney, I don't want to play any team we've beaten this year. He’ll be better than what he is showing tonight, but no way was he going to live up to the hype after Saturday.Ivisic is lost tonight.
I agree ...UK, UNC, and Uconn are the only teams at this point that I wouldn't want to see in the Tourney. Right now 2 of those 3 project to be 1 seeds so we wouldn't have to play them until the FF, but UK could end up a 2 seed with their early season performance.
There are other teams that would be bad draws for their seed level but those 3 teams are the only ones that I think would have a chance of beating Purdue in an NBA playoff style best of 5 series.
