OT: Sleeper Trolls

For me, it's beyond understanding that an individual could go on a board and post/comment enough in a positive light that they would be accepted as part of that board; but when their internal "phone call" comes ("The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep," Bonus points if you name the movie.) they turn rabid and trash away. It's an odd way to get thrills, who the heck has that much time and what does that say about their mental condition...and yet I still think it happens.

that Nat100 guy, for one. I think there are a few on the IU board, but that is probably a result of quick banning and posters coming back with new handles that bide their time. I can't point a anyone here and say "There's one", but I'd say odds on there might be 1 or 2 just playing the percentages. I think you'd find a bunch on Auburn/Bama boards, folks who's sole purpose is to paint that university and it's players/coaches/members in a bad light...not enough to get banned, but just enough as a "concerned fan".

Just putting my tin foil hat on and cranking up the conspiracy machine. Then again most fan bases may be so diverse that you actually do have posters that "trash their own" in a sincere effort and belief that it's support.

Aaaand I will leave that one alone. FYI, the movie is "Telefon" with Charles Bronson. Probably due for a remake since they recently did "The Mechanic".
