Payton is the smartest man in the room, just ask him. And Brees is turning into Mr. Dink and Dunk....still a helluva competitor but have to wonder what he has left in the tank.

Yep. Saints sooooo conservative with the dump passes that when their defense pukes as usual, and Saints forced to play hurry up, Brees actually starts throwing past the markers. They’ve turned into a crappy football team.
I would say that many, or the majority of NFL fans, would disagree with you on Brees, including myself. Brees was extremely sharp last week and the announcers even mentioned how he continues to amaze at 39 and shows no signs of slowing down. Similar to Purdue, Saints defense just could not stop or put pressure on the QB. If defense could have stopped the Vikings on that one stupid play, Brees had a good chance of being in the Super Bowl last year.
I would also ask you to name someone in the NFL that still does so much for his alma mater after graduating so many years ago.
