MLB 2022, some of the New Rules:
1)The Ohtani Rule: Starting pitcher used as DH
can stay in the game as hitter if removed as pitcher.
Ohtani is a LAA starter who hit 46hrs in 2021.
2) NL joins AL DH for all games.
3) In Extras, ghost runner at 2nd is gone.
4)DHer games are back to 9innings, not 7.
5)Playoffs expand from 10 to 12 teams.
6) Expanded rosters from 26 to 28 till May 2nd.
7) MLB can make rule changes in 45days, not 1yr.
Potential New Rules for 2023:
1) Scheduling: # of Division games will be reduced
so all teams can play at least 1 series with every team.
2) Bases going from 15" to 18" to reduce collisions.
3) Defensive shifts to be limited.
4) Pitchers must pitch in 14sec, 19 w/ runner on.

USFL starts 4/16. They play on FOX, NBC, USA, FS1
Some rules:
A two score game is an 18pt diff.
Have 3 options after TD.
Throw 2 forward passes behind the line. huh?

World Cup soccer starts Nov 21. Usually held in summer, but Qatar is hosting this year, so it’ll only be 110 degrees in November vs 120 degrees in June.

Not sure how I feel about the MLB rule changes. Shifts shouldn’t be restricted. Learn to drive the damn ball to the opposite field.

I’ve become a big fan of Lacrosse since 2015 and the B1G league inception w Rutgers Maryland and John’s Hopkins (& UM, PSU, OSU.) It’s fun as hell to watch imo. Those guys go at it, plus they score like 20 goals total a game so it’s super active.

Usually catch up on all the matchups that record during the week on the weekends.
