What is crazy is he had zero D1 college offers so he went to a JC near his California home. He eventually received 2 D1 offers one from Eastern Michigan and other from Wyoming.IF he stays healthy. I turbed it on for a few minutes. His coach should be fired for giving him the green light to run up 21 in the 4th and then not sliding at the end of the run.
And didn't really do anything at Wyoming to indicate he could be this good. Guys with his lack of accuracy don't tend to improve on that in the NFL. Kudos to Buffalo for developing him. What is crazy is he had zero D1 college offers so he went to a JC near his California home. On another note: the Rams better get a few things figured out. Three interceptions and seven sacks, Yikes! And it's not like their defense did a lot to stop the bleeding in the second half. That's not what you expect to see out of a Super Bowl champion.
I don't FULLY disagree....but he showed enough to go 7th in a QB flush draft. Can't teach the size, athleticism or big arm. Agree that most QBs as inaccurate as him stay that way because they just don't have it but Allen seems very teachable/coachable and professional in his improvement and approach to genuinely get better. Could find several QBs on rosters with similar intangibles....but couldn't find a group of guys that have the same drive. Teams that are successful have the ability to suss out which guys will work hard and treat professional football like a profession. And didn't really do anything at Wyoming to indicate he could be this good.
