Interesting that Matta decided to go small vs. IU.
In the game at Bloomington, Troy Williams had 15 points and 12 rebounds - Amir Williams played in that game. Yesterday, Amir didn't play and Troy had 8 points and 2 rebounds.
Guessing we'll go small for part of the game with VE and Smotherman in the game. When Hammons or Haas is in the game, we have to let Troy Williams shoot from the outside - can't chase him around. Crean will have him bring the ball up the court at times.
Also, the high ball screen with Haas guarding the screener is a concern - Newbill ate us up with him in there. Not as concerned with Hammons in there because of his rim protection and better lateral movement.
Obviously, we need to hit shots - they're going to pack it in. Similar to what Illinois did in the 2nd half against us.
