We're way to cheap to hire SumlinA&M just needs to fire Sumlin damnit.
But according to Bobinski "money is no issue". Nothing would prove that like getting Sumlin. We're way to cheap to hire Sumlin
If we were serious about Sumlin, and money was no issue, we could just spend the money and get him to get out contract and pay him whatever he wants to come here. While he is my first choice, Sumlin is not getting fired. What about Helfrich? Hi octane offense.
Hell we're whining about the Turtleneck's buy out and reporats are that Sumlin's buyout is massive in comparison. If we were serious about Sumlin, and money was no issue, we could just spend the money and get him to get out contract and pay him whatever he wants to come here.
The schools buyout is $15 million if they are to fire him. If he were to leave to go somewhere else it requires him to pay only a $5 million buyout if he terminates the deal without cause before the Aggies' last game of the 2016 season, including any bowl game. The deal is effective Jan. 1, 2014.Hell we're whining about the Turtleneck's buy out and reporats are that Sumlin's buyout is massive in comparison.
Yep... Purdue dragging their feet

If Sumlin is dismissed, the $$ (severance) are A&M's responsibilityWe're way to cheap to hire Sumlin
Give me a break. You have no idea what has been going on in regards to this. Besides that, how do you force a coach to accept your offer if that is indeed what is going on?Yep... Purdue dragging their feet

I very highly doubt Purdue has been dragging anything, but an offer isn't taken by a coach how is that Purdue's fault?
Then there was nothing gained by firing DH in October.I don't think Purdue is dragging its feet. I suspect MB is honing in on someone whose team's season is not over. Wait 'til Sunday.

Your not going to appease the fans in the middle of the season. No one was jumping for joy in October unless a new coach is brought on to get a jump on recruiting. Texas named a new coach the day they fired StrongThat was done to appease fans, no other reason.

So are we going to wait until the bowl season is complete also? Herman's season was not done. If we let the new coach go to the bowl game, we're another month behind.Yeah, Herman's season was done. They didn't name a coach who still had games to play.
Texas is destination job, ours is a trickle down one.<beats head against brick wall>
Doubtful. The quick trigger on Helfrich suggests they want to be able to move on someone soon...someone in the college game...someone who will be able to interview during the bowl interlude. Kelly won't be available until Christmas. Plus, he's already said he wants to stay in the NFL...and, he'd be coming into a rebuilding situation, not smoothly transitioning from Bellotti's succcesful tenure. Why would he want that headache?I suspect they will first make a run at Chip Kelly.
No we're not. We're only behind your schedule and nothing more.So are we going to wait until the bowl season is complete also? Herman's season was not done. If we let the new coach go to the bowl game, we're another month behind.
There was literally nothing to be gained by keeping him except more lost ticket sales. Then there was nothing gained by firing DH in October.

.....And I believe him as far as I can throw Nick Saban, head coach of the Dolphins.Kelly has announced he won't return to Oregon
