One of the more remarkable wins I can recall

This is up there in terms of all time great wins in my lifetime. That was a really good team in a really tough arena. We overcame a lot of adversity (i.e. referees) to win that game. I hope we build on this and make a great Big Ten Tournament run and March Madness run. I would really like to win the regular season Big Ten title, but I feel like there is too much luck involved in today's era to make that happen. The tournament is where this team will be defined (for better or worse).

I agree. We did it, we beat a ranked team on the road. I cannot believe that ref T'd Haas up at that point in the game. If he cussed, ok. We still won despite the refs. Bring on the Hoosiers!!!

1983 PUR at ILL... my sophmore year... ...........Keady Benches all his starters on road in second half(down by 20) subs claw all the way back and JimRowinski hits a bank shot a buzzard. Good win.....but not even close to the classics I have seen in my lifetime..........

I've posted this clip before, but why not again...Jim Thacker with the classic call.....take a look @ Jim Rowinski holding Steve Reid like a rag doll. Lou Doo not very happy, either, understandably.

This was a good win. I'm not sure if it makes a Top 5 list for me. Maybe not even Top 10. I've watched a lot of Boiler games in my life. We've had some pretty sweet wins. Especially in Ass Hall.

One of the 1st Purdue games I ever watched on ESPN. Living in NY, we had just gotten cable. Game was on a one hour delay. My brother, who was a Purdue student at the time called me when he got back to the dorm. Wouldn't tell me who won, but he said to watch the 2nd half. Glad he did. Great comeback. But today's after being down 12 was darn good too.

Was a good win, but not great of all times. If we don't win Thursday, it will be forgotten.

I think on a micro level - i.e. this season and even lump in last with many of the same players - this was a big win in the sense of what has typically "dogged" Purdue didn't end up dogging them in the end. They overcame deficits multiple times, hit some clutch shots, made some good stops and had some other things not go their ways (i.e. fouls/free throws). This can be a big confidence booster. Still, it quickly means nothing if it doesn't translate through the rest of the season.

On a macro level, I wouldn't say this is a defining moment (although TBD I suppose). There have been many more meaningful games (as we know, Wisconsin/Maryland both have favorable schedules and we don't play either again, so we don't hold our own destiny).

Forgot about that one. I had a professor that commented the next day, "Someone in the 3rd row would have been killed if it wasn't for the backboard" on Row's shot... That was a classic win for the ages...

Funny. I remember going to Champaign to watch the Boilers (late 90s I think). Purdue down by similar amount, 20 I think. Came back to win. I don't think Illinois was all that good that year though.

Keady pretty much owned Lou Doo Henson. I remember this game in early 1987 vs. Illinois. Doug Lee made a miracle 3 to send the game into OT.

I thought it clearly looked like he dropped an F bomb.
