Actually since he didn't lose eligibility it wouldve made him an even better fit I think. We could've done fine without him this season and he would've had a season to develop and be ready for minutes next season.

I totally understand what your saying and that makes sense. I am ok with avoiding players that academic issues could potentially be an issue not just once but in the future.

Yep. Wonder if he's regretting his choice now, given that it sounds like PT was the main reason.
