At the risk of sounding like a nutty professor here, I know MP likes to use personality testing as part of what he does. I had great success using this in my career, and one of the things I liked to do was to profile great employers and then use that profile to hire around. It's pretty obvious either intentionally (and I hope to God that's not true) or not that we don't seem to find guards who have the right kind of stones (which is why I am very high on both Smith and DGL as they neither seem to fit our 25 year mold). Painter needs to discern what traits guards with Stones have from those who don't and then work like hell to find those kind of personalities. You don't see a lot of QB's or middle linebackers or catchers that are vanilla. Find guards that don't wave the white flag.
