I have a niece who lives in Danbury CT who was impacted in a way that I cannot imagine, short of actually losing
someone in the attack.
Her oldest brother was working for Lehman Brothers (in their WTC office) but was out of the office that morning.
Her twin boys were going on their college job interviews - both had interviews scheduled in the WTC first thing
that morning, but both were cancelled.
Her daughter was in the George Washington medical school and was one of many called to assist at the Pentagon -
she was assigned to perform triage on the victims.
Fast forward to December 14, 2012.
This same woman has a PhD in Early Childnood Development, and was at that time (and still is) serving on the Newtown CT Board of Education in charge of the special education programs.
