This game couldn't come at a better time for the Boilermakers and a worse time for the Buckeyes.

Purdue is coming off three straight quality wins, outscoring BC, Nebraska, and Illinois by 70. We have arguably the best WR core in the country along with a rising star in Bryson Hopkins. There's a lot to say how effective our RB's have been as well. Knox and Jones have finally shown up and are running downhill through the trenches. Our defense has finally started play with some discipline and putting pressure on the quarterbacks. Not to mention we have forced six interceptions in the last three games. We have all the momentum in the world, going into the biggest game in the furnace in the last 5 years for Purdue.

Now the O$U side of the ball is coming off a lack luster performance vs. a stumbling Minnesota team in their own home stadium. Their defense has been good on paper, but looking at how easy some throws were last few weeks against their secondary is hopeful for another Blough prime time performance. Dwayne Haskins will have a big game, but if we can shut down JK Dobbins and Mike Weber, we will be in good shape.

This game feels personal. As though we aren't on O$U's radar. But Purdue is ready as they will ever be to finally breakthrough with a program changing win.

Purdue does not have the best WR corps in the country. They are markedly better than last year because of Moore and the development of Sparks, Zico, Wright, and Hopkins.

Should be a great match up and if our defense plays aggressive maybe we force a couple of turnovers to flip the game

Talking points:
Purdue WR corp is much better, but likely not in top 20 overall. Seeing improvements throughout the season.
Purdue is not doing dumb mental mistakes like they had in the 1st few games of the season.
OSU is banged up with some injuries. How much...would like to find out more.
OSU is still OSU and narrowly beat PSU. Cocky and good is a real summation of their team.
14 Pts is the Vegas Line. I believe Purdue can beat that spread.
Purdue could even pull off an upset.
I'm making my Tuesday earlier prediction of Purdue 38 OSU 28. ***That may pull to an even up game if later in the week, OSU's injuries have starters returning.***
Hope Purdue stays focused and keeps a cool head throughout the game to minimize mental errors.
Keep the game close and see if OSU blinks or gets frustrated first.

Knox is the x factor of this match up. Lord willing if we have a lead at any point late in the game, if he can churn out yards on the ground and keep the clock moving, we may just have a chance to knock of the suckeyes.
