I like a lot of this team. Im even on board with their recruiting because a lot of Hazells guys look good. Further, I like the general strategy of run up the middle, and stretching the field horizontally and vertically.
That said, I hate the way they mix plays. There were plenty of downs yesterday where they had seven or eight in the box and passes to the flat would have been open or at least should have been tried. Also several key downs where our 4th wr was covered by a safety 10 yards away. This staff doesn't look like they are adapting to what the defense gives them. I think running by default and then audibling to spread the ball vertically & horizontally as the defense sneaks up or in would work with these guys. I get the Schoop hate, but I don't doubt the idea that we just go physically beat them up comes from the top. This actually works in reverse because we should be taking cheap shots to set up the upfront punch to the face. Instead they wear themselves out while tipping their hat on what they are doing.
Why they ever played TEs yesterday is beyond me. Its very clear to me who the better matchup is between our TE/Opponent LB and our wr/their DB
