Oden is a special player

This current 3 player freshman class, Harris, Oden and Cooper gives me hope for the future of this program and especially Oden. What an amazing player she has become. Probably my favorite player since Stephanie White. And she's just going to keep getting better and better and better and better. #BoilerUp

Agree that Purdue has some great talent to build around next year. My biggest concern is replacing Ashley Morrissete. Her play this year has been phenomenal. Purdue has had some excellent point guards over the last 14 - 15 years, but none as good as Ashley, IMHO. Her poise under pressure, quickness, ball-handling, and decision-making make her a very special player. She came to Purdue mostly as a shooting guard, but has morphed into an excellent point-guard. She'll, be sorely missed next year.

We should have beaten OSU the first time, but brick city from 3 really cost us (11% IIRC). So guess what happened when we actually hit a reasonable percentage? We won, and frankly it wasn't even that close of a game.

Team defense and decent shooting will win a lot of games. Too bad it took so long to get it going, but Oden's emergence is a huge part of it.

Like a lot of 3 pt "specialists" Oden has been streaky but I could not be more thrilled for her performance in the B1G Tournament (and last few games). She will need to be very much on for us to have a shot against Maryland today.
