While he hasn't been lighting up the draft boards, his stock has improved this year and we all know he desperately wants the NBA money to help his family which is truly in need. I think we all agree he'd develop more with another year in college and would surely enjoy his time and possibly take PU to heretofore unknown heights, but does he stay?

I say less than 20% chance he suits up for the Boilers next year. What say you?

Not all NBA scouts, owners and GMs are stupid. While Biggie doesn't have star power flash there are a few teams out there smart enough to realize what he can contribute on a daily basis. He won't be back here next year. Enjoy what is left of this one. Like the Big Dog you don't get this kind of experience often.

Now that he's starting to get projected in the first round in multiple places I'd say there is almost no chance he returns. He was ready to go last season if he'd have got a sniff in the 2nd round.

I'd say less than 5%. He would certainly get drafted, IMO, and probably a good chance it's somewhere in the back half of the first round. The only wildcard to me is if there is something Biggie feels unfinished on the court, and he wants to change that. Maybe his teammates would have something to say about that, but I'm confident they just want the best for him.....they all know his story.....better than we do.

Obviously, he'll get guidance from Rosie Barnes and CMP, but it will be his decision, and he'll be at peace with it, I don't doubt. Whatever he chooses, I wish him well.....can't help rooting even harder for this Boilermaker.

With all that, I think most are prepared for the inevitable that 2/28 will be his last game in Mackey Arena as a current Boilermaker.

Regardless, he's left a big mark.....make that a "Biggie."

99.99%. I don't want him to come back, because that would mean something really bad happened. I would love to see him get drafted at the end of round 1 by a GS, SA, Cleveland, Houston, etc.

100% gone.......I just hope Haas and Edwards stay for senior years.

All good stuff.

You are right. It's less than 20%. MUCH less.

My thoughts exactly...made a conscious effort to enjoy what everyone knew were Big Dog's last days and games in a Purdue uniform, and doing the exact same with Biggie...actually, just had that conversation with my son on the matter last night and told him that he should do the same (and precisely for the reason that you cited).

100%. Him leaving and winning Player of the Year are some of the best things that can happen to our recruiting.

No chance he comes back to school. Unless it's on a day off.

72% he goes
27% he doesn't go
1% undecided.

I'm a Purdue grad and Purdue sports fan. I am unrealistically optimistic. I have been told by my employees that my blue sky attitude is a positive trait thing about me....and a negative trait thing about me.

Go Boilers

Add the fact that he is either 19 or 20 the NBA will drool with his still unseen potential. Also being very coachable and a hard worker. The sky is the limit.

I say there is a 99% chance he will be back at Purdue next year. He is ready for the NBA and NBA teams will tell him - 1st round lock. However, his love for Purdue and everything about college life....will sway his decision. He will say that the NBA and the millions of dollars can wait, he is only a kid once, and you can't put a price tag on enjoying one more year at Purdue. So Boiler up my friends.

Dang it....just woke up from a great dream.....now where am I.....

Biggie is 100% entering the draft and I am happy for him. He busted his ass for 2 years here, helped re-define our basketball culture and gave 100% in every game.

We've been on the edge of our seats a few times this year hoping he will get his double-double...hell I've been cheering for that as much as the outcomes of the games. I love to see someone give it all and succeed and he's done that in every game.

Biggie makes it onto the all-time Boilermaker Effort Squad with Brian Cardinal, Robbie and E'twaun, Kris Kramer, Steve Scheffler...guys that will do what it takes to win a game.

I think there is a 99 per cent chance he will play pro ball next year.I think Haas and Vincent play for Purdue next year.

I'll bet 100% assured that this turns into a 100% debate on 100%. Just being a turd. Let's beat the shields off of those Spartans this weekend! Go Boilers!

Only way I could see him returning is if Purdue is just on the cusp of a title this year. Say we are knocked out in the final four or championship game and he is bitter about it and knows we should be even stronger next year. That is the only situation in which I see him returning and even then I don't think it happens because it honestly makes zero sense for him to return. He's shown what he can do and the level of improvement he can make in a year. It's just selfishness for us to expect him to come back and we should just enjoy the remaining games we get to watch him wearing a Purdue jersey.

Agreed Biggie is gone. With the other 2, the only way I can see them going is if we win it all or at least make it to the championship game with both of those guys contributing in a big way. I'd be ok with that :)

Never really thought about those two items HELPING recruiting but, you are right!
CMP should be getting well known for developing some great front court players. Outside of the bluebloods, what other program has put two centers as B1G POY's and 1st Team AA's in the last 6 years? JJ and Biggie along with Landry and Moore's success in the NBA should scream to guys who are highly talented that CMP can take them and make them even better ball players. As talented as Biggie is, he and Rosie said he wanted to go some where that he could be made in to a better player...and I'm not sure how one couldn't see the guidance that CMP has provided to get Biggie to such a big jump from last year to this year.

If I had a son who was a top 50 talent, I would put Purdue as a short list candidate immediately because of those factors alone...not taking in to account that CMP rarely has discipline issues and when he does, he is quick and fair in his punishments.
