NW over Nebraska

The top coach on the Hot Seat would have to be Frost.

Honestly, I am surprised they kept him on another year. I am assuming it was a big buyout, but I see the alumni will be stepping up to help with that this year.
Alumni didn’t want to pay $15m for the buyout last year

I can understand that Frost’s style of football is not the style to match the typical Nebraska recruit. I can’t understand why they hired him in the first place.

I’m not a huge fan of Brohm, but his style of football matches what Purdue does. Brohm was a good fit for Purdue. And Brohm was a much better fit for Purdue than the majority of other choices.

but frost at Nebraska? It seemed it was destined to fail from the minute he was hired!

Honestly, I am not too worried about somebody else coming in and taking over Nebraska and turning them into some sort of powerhouse. They are just another Big Ten program at this point with no obvious built-in advantages. Their recruiting base is crap. They haven't won anything in ages. Bo Pelini was their 21st century ceiling.

Perspective .. 2022 state recruiting rankings..

Ohio - had a top 55 on rivals
Indiana - had a top 30
Nebraska? A top 5

Northwestern is so luck Fitzgerald is so loyal. To be doing what he does at a program like that... He is a hell of a coach.
Recently, GB Packers were interested in him before Matt LaFleur and if I recall correctly, Fitzgerald took his name out of the hat. Fitzgerald is loyal to NW. No doubt about it.
