This kid will bring some toughness to our defensive backfield. Love being back in Indy recruiting.
There's a second Elijah Ball who is a 3* WR from Ohio. he's not bad either. it would fun to sign both, and we could make the announcer and teams go crazy with Elijah Ball on offense and Elijah Ball on defense.
Glad we're starting to hit the board. 2 of the recruits seem legit big 10 players. The other two had offer lists Darrell hazel would be proud of. But I am optimistic this staff will be better talent developers. Boiler up!
I think we will still see some of those especially in this class. Just have to trust in the staff. But I honestly don't feel Brohm has taken any desperation commits. He got the kids he wanted to camp and fully evaluated them and deemed them worth of offers. Good enough for me right now.
The most important thing about this commit is the fact that he comes from a powerhouse program in Indianapolis. The HC from Ben Davis was quoted as saying this was the first time in 30+ years he's had a guy commit to Purdue. Ben Davis is one of the top programs in the state and is constantly churning out D1 talent. This helps open doors that have not existed in years, if truly ever. Even better, this is the school that IU's new HC coached at. He has teammates that we have offered as well, including ATH Reese Taylor and DE Willie Ervin. Hopefully it leads to at least one of them.
