Even a not hot us took them to OT ... my guess is they fizzle out early.
Oh man Geno used to throw this one out all the time didn't he? Hoping we draw a bracket with a slew of ice cold teams, maybe play in Alaska!? Just shittin and still hoping for our ball busting tourney run. Just feel like Mel Brooks in High Anxiety, falling into that spinny thing of fear that the past will repeat every time I read this board. I'm hoping the guy from Texas can post the picture I'm referencing even if he is having a bad weekend
Seeing Michigan destroy Minny and Wiscy does help. They are playing like a top five team right now. We were definitely their biggest challenge and by all rights (one damn free throw) had them beat.

It should be crystal clear that a deep conference tournament run does not necessarily translate to the NCAA Tournament. And a bad conference tournament does not necessarily translate to the NCAA Tournament.
There's no one set trend - but there's plenty examples of both, which means there's little correlation. During one of the games, they showed a list of teams that had won the regular and tournament conference championships and national championship - it was like 3 or 4 teams.
However, we hit them when they WERE hot. Doesn't mean that will last into the next event.
