One huge penalty this game should be enough. Why some guys can’t seem to learn to keep their mouth shut is beyond me.
Immature, lack of discipline, jaw-jacking to cover up lackluster talent.
10 points worth.....just cannot have those and expect to succeed.
At the gun basically - missed a tying 2-pt conversion, but they still get the game-winning FG.
Purdue needs Iowa to lose.....an Illinois win makes it tougher for Iowa with the tiebreakers but doesn't change Purdue's chances much from what I understand. Assuming Purdue wins next week (which is NO guarantee), Purdue wins a two-way tie with Illinois and a three-way tie with Illinois/Minnesota. Iowa wins a two-way tie with Purdue, and Illinois would win a three-way tie with Iowa/Purdue.

Would Illinois get a better bowl with a better overall? Lord knows we need nice weather for AOC.
Not sure how the bowl selection totally works.....you've got Penn State 3rd in line right now.
All moot now as Michigan kicks a FG with 9 seconds left to go up 19-17. Harbaugh eschewed the 4th down attempt earlier to kick a FG when down four. Looks like a great move now.

It would seem that way but I think it hurt us. Now if Iowa wins out, we lose the tie breaker.

I didn't believe this until I looked it up: this was Purdue's first win over Northwestern at Ross-Ade since 2007. Purdue had lost 5 straight to NU at home.
