No. 5 in the AP Poll

Ok, that's big. Purdue's still in a pretty good position with two top-10 wins and a very solid record against the top 2 quadrants. Have some work to do in Chicago, but I can't really complain. Purdue is just 4-4 down the stretch.

It seems like Alabama or Kansas are the two teams along w/Purdue still in play for a #1 seed. Houston and UCLA are locks for #1 seeds...JMHO.

Unfortunately, the Illini’s outstanding play in the 2nd half of their game yesterday. may have given more 4th place votes to Alabama than if the Illini had not played that well.

99% of voters are just looking at the score and have no idea how the game went
I know you're exaggerating, but I don't think it's anywhere close to that number. It was a national TV game, on a Sunday with very little else happening. College basketball writers watch college basketball, believe it or not.

If I were to rank them:
Kansas 95%
Alabama 90%
Houston 85%
Purdue 65%
UCLA 65%

Looking at UCLAs resume after a prompt from someone in another thread, I think we have a slightly better chance than UCLA currently. Their resume is just not as good as ours despite fewer losses.
