Recruiting is spot on… but I’m not sure the Xs and Os will take care of themselves!?!

Harrell appears to be in over his head or limited in his play calling and the offensive scheme. Maybe this is related to the talent he’s working with or lack of execution but that doesn’t apply to questionable play calling in my opinion. He’s got a decent resume so maybe things improve with time and new talent on the offensive side.

On defense we’ll see if the staff has the ability to adapt and be flexible as we go?

I don’t think halfway through the first season is sufficient time to determine the ultimate outcome or potential for the hire but obviously lots of people had much higher expectations. I did see a recent Assessment of schedule difficulty so far this season, it had Purdue with one of the most difficult if not the most so far through 7 games just for a bit of perspective if you want to view it through that lens.

Hello DaveK -you are correct about recruiting, but what recruit would want to come to a program where the HC does not even get involved with the team during games? He stands there by himself like a statue. Not are great way to encourage recruits! And in all actuality, the #1 goal for this program should be to find another HC! Meanwhile, if possible, appoint an interim head coach and to get Walters involved in the game give him the job handling the gatorade and giving it to players as wanted!

Still waiting for you to tell us how much of each game you watch the coach and what you hear when you connect to his headset.

Well, duh. But Tiller and Brohm didn’t beat OSU by Out-Talenting them…
So you don't think that Drew Brees was better than OSU's quarterback? LOL Tyler Trent was the X factor in 2018. We also had a pretty good quarterback then as well and he wasn't recruited by Brohm. In fact, which quarterback recruited by Brohm was his best?

Which year did we have more NFL draft picks than OSU on our roster ?

I watch enough to see he does not act like any other HC I see on TV. Now regardless of what he hears on his headset, if he takes no action, it's totally meaningless. It took our AD a total of 5 days to find a new HC, I don't consider that much of a search, and we are seeing the results!

The answer is we never had more future NFL draft picks when Brohm or Tiller beat OSU.
Ding ding. If we don't have a coach with a unique offensive mind or scheme we aren't going to go week to week playing teams like OSU and Michigan with a chance. Evem with Tiller and Brohm chances were slim but at least it was something.

We will never ever everrrrrr have their talent.

Not quite what you said. You said we never out talented OSU. Brees was a better quarterback than what OSU had (Bellasari)by a mile. So at the quarterback level, we weren't "out talented". Six OSU players and five Purdue players were drafted by the NFL from those teams. In all, 19 players from the 2000 Purdue team played in the NFL. The Rose Bowl team had as much talent as OSU did that year. Last time I looked, that was a Tiller team. And the players from that team played in more and won more Super Bowls than the players from that OSU team by a wide margin. BTW, who was the quarterback against OSU in 2018? David Blough. Was he a Brohm recruit? No. Hazel's quarterbacks and then walkons won most of the games for Brohm. The best quarterback that Brohm recruited while at Purdue is playing for him right now in Louisville and his second best quarterback recruit at Purdue is sitting on the bench at Louisville behind Plummer.

Let me simplify for you: Tiller and Brohm never beat OSU by having more future NFL players (ie talent) on our roster than OSU did.

What a Purdue poster changed their statement just so he could be right and continue to argue against the facts when presented ? G. A. S. P. !!

Can't you read? Let me simplify it for you. I just proved that statement false. 19 players from the Rose bowl team played in the NFL. More than the OSU team. BTW, that WASN'T your original statement. You changed it to serve your agenda and you were still wrong. LOL
You haven’t PROVEN anything.
