I saw in passing today, a tv item featuring Nick Saban at the podium talking about what else, Alabama's amateur college football team. Behind him stood a backdrop covered in "A"s as the Alabama logo, alternating with the corporate logo for AT&T. But what really caught my eye was what were placed on the podium. Neatly placed on the ends to frame or bracket Saban - logo facing directly at the camera - were a bottle of Coca-Cola and a bottle of Dasani Water (also owned by Coca-Cola). I wonder how much Alabama or their $5 million coach got for that. I know what the players got - zip, zero, nada, nothing.
