Rumor is he might be physically able to come back but preferred to leave his team behind to prepare for the draft. What thoughts may be going through his teammates' minds?
They probably would. And how far do you extend that train of thought and when does it enter the minds of their other NFL prospects? Is anyone playing through pain or a nagging injury after 7 straight weeks? Does this make them reconsider their level of committment to the task at hand? If I am a Purdue lineman I'm walking right up to the Buckeye across from me before the first play of the game and telling him I'm going to send him off the field on a cart. Dirty pool, maybe.. Gamesmanship, you bet. They’d do the same in similar circumstances

What turmoil? The smith stuff? NopeNo thought they this has to do with the turmoil at OSU?

Nope. Doubt any of the players careWith the dildos and wife beating and all that
Thank you Nick Bosa. I’ll take any kind of distraction we can get!Rumor is he might be physically able to come back but preferred to leave his team behind to prepare for the draft. What thoughts may be going through his teammates' minds?
Be honest, though. In the minds of OSU fans it's all about December/January. Having Bosa for the CFP alone could mean a national title. To withdraw from school this far out and eliminating any possibility of return is putting yourself before your team. He's free to do it, and in many ways it's hard to blame him, but it sends a clear message about the relative importance of college football from a player's perspective that might resonate with his teammates.Nick Bosa would not have been able to return during the regular season, as a 12-week recovery from a bilateral abdominal tear put a possible return "well into December" - Nick Bosa's Dad

If you read their boards and talk to their fans, the vast majority of OSU fans are fine with it and basically said he had to leave considering he's projected to be at least a top 3 (maybe the first) pick and a contract worth an estimated $35 million. Plus, he's not expected back until December at the earliest.Be honest, though. In the minds of OSU fans it's all about December/January. Having Bosa for the CFP alone could mean a national title. Being a Michigan fan, we could very well face the same situation with R. Gary as he's hurt and could shut it down for the rest of the year. My reaction: go for it kid as many of the upper echelon players (like Bosa and Gary) would be idiots to come back and risk another injury and cost himself tens of millions of dollars. Like it or not, CF is no longer the amateur sport many of us like to think of it as - it's big business.
This is the part that seems to be unclear. I have heard 12 week recovery, CONSERVATIVELY. If true that puts him back at full health before the end of the season. At that point how is him not being there different than any healthy player, say Tua Tagiavola, checking out? I know guys have skipped bowl games before, but that’s a different animal than if you have a legit path to the CFP.I agree if you are healthy and have a chance for a title then go compete but it doesn't make sense to play if you are injured and hurt your future. Yeah I want a national championship, but not if it costs a guy his future. I would have preferred him to stay around the team, but I understand not having to waste time on classes and as I understand it, his treatment is in Philadelphia.
Didn’t a UM TE tear a knee up playing in a bowl game when he would have been a likely round 2-3 kind of player a few years ago?If you read their boards and talk to their fans, the vast majority of OSU fans are fine with it and basically said he had to leave considering he's projected to be at least a top 3 (maybe the first) pick and a contract worth an estimated $35 million. Steam roll ? We're playing at the Shoe and if given, I'd gladly take a 1-point win right now and run away with it. Plus, they have immense talent that hasn't come together YET especially on their defense which is really under performing. Many of their followers are pointing fingers at the position coaches and schemes. You have to be tickled Wolve, Michigan already has a great defense. You may steam roll OSU this year.
Other than a few great plays, they looked pretty much flat against Minnesota. Minnesota has either vastly improved or OSU is just not that good.Steam roll ?
