“The Commissioner has the sole authority to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective measures if any club action, non-participant interference, or calamity occurs in an NFL game which the Commissioner deems so extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of the game."

Will he do the right thing?

No ! His action was to send out an apology to saints fans. No further action will be taken!

Can you imagine the wave of impact if he were to deem the call was such a calamity that he needed to be reversed from the front office? Referees, coaches, players, and fans would just erupt. This has never occurred and the commissioner would open himself to further scrutiny and involvement. Plus, the NFL is in a bad spot already due to the kneeling debacle. As painful as it is, the correct course of action is for the commissioner to stay out of this.

Now, it would be a huge redeeming factor if the Rams were to forfeit the game but that wont happen.
