I did as well. Looks like his shot is a lot like the Thompson Bros. More out in front not so much back over his head. I have always liked taller guards but am starting to fall in love with what a 6'4" - 6'5" guard can do on the floor.

I think for it to be the quintessential Purdue class it actually needs a Monster. Someone enormous and scary, that can spread communicable diseases to unsuspecting co-eds. Now THAT would put the cherry on top of the class.

OK, I hesitate to mention this, but Newman's shot is similar to Stephen Curry's. He's got very nice form and gets it off all in one motion, just like Steph.

I'm sure he can improve his release to be even quicker, but it seems like he's got very solid fundamentals to build upon.
