New AD...

Mens B1G Basketball Champs. Coincidence? :)
He had nothing to do with it. Players were here, Painter made the adjustments he needed to make, players for the most part responded. So no, the new AD was too busy with football. Give the credit to whom it's to go to...Matt Painter who has to date done a hell of a job.

Maybe it has more to do with the earlier change in administration, which translated into better assistants, and more robust recruiting. VE, Mathias, etc. all came to Purdue after Painter got a better budget to work with. Money talks. Maybe we should thank Mitch Daniels.

This is all about Biggie. Painter owes him big time for rescuing his coaching career. See what Haas did tonight? Without Biggie, we would be playing to be in the upper half of the conference.

So when Painter lands a good player, it's the player rescuing him. When a good player chooses someone else over Purdue, it's on Painter.

Man some people are just dumb.

Perhaps the recruitment and success of the Ohio twins sent a message that Swanigan received. It was a change in the "Purdue Way" of doing things. Money represented commitment to success.

ABSOLUTELY! And a big part of that is PRESENTING YOURSELF IN A BETTER LIGHT . . .

Come on man. Learn. Last year at this time I was reading half this board say we going to stink this year because we couldn't possibly replace Hammons and Davis. Our defense would be the worst ever and we would be lucky to finish mid pack. We can't REPLACE Biggie. Instead we evolve a little. Play differently in some ways and threaten again. We will put 4 seniors on the floor with junior sniper and an incredibly explosive sophomore plus a new haul of athletic freshmen. Next year will be damn fun to watch.

It's 100% the "Mizzou Moment". We've seen very little change in staff since then. When you keep a consistent staff (and it's a good one), it shows.

And it's MORE than just coaches. Knock on freaking wood with injuries, but the strength coach has done a great job with the players - he's been at Purdue 6 years now and the athletic trainer has been here for five.

And I say goodbye to another asshat.
