It's not a good sign when one the first sentences is factually incorrect. "Purdue finished 6-7 overall and 5-4 in the Big Ten, reaching its first bowl game since 2012 under second-year coach Jeff Brohm...". May want to double check that Wikipedia page.

And do they know something we don't about Tario Fuller and our OL?

"Purdue's top returning back, Alexander Horvath, rushed for 42 yards last year. The offensive line is solid."

Sorry about that. Just a little quicker to the draw.

From that article- "The offensive line is solid." I hope they know something that we don't! But from other mistakes in the article, perhaps not.

I do hope this is a big win as I will be flying my new Purdue flag at our home on game days, and not like the last time I embarrassingly wore Purdue apparel to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the bowl game blow out which fortunately no one else was watching.

i would think the better the Defensive Line is , the better the Offensive line will be , due to practicing against it. The DL should be better this year, if Neal is back, so that's gotta help a little to improve the OL.

Horvath had more rushing yards last year.

That doesn't make him our top returning back if anyone does any research. Fuller had more carries.

But they'll probably have Neal on a pitch count in practices all year so as to not overwork the knee. Also gives the younger guys more reps with the ones if he's taking fewer.

Rumor was that Malik Henry was going to be named the starter even prior to the injury. Looks pretty solid in their spring game video.

The TCU team we are playing this year will be without their kicker. I believe I read he was on a scooter and got hit by a car this weekend, and Minnesota’s starting QB is out indefinitely because of something with his foot. It popped during practice. Did not hear much more about that except for that, but it sounded like he could be out for quite a while.

Our opponents always seem to play better when they are missing a key starter. Remember that third string Notre Dame QB who got moved to tight end?

I think the problem with all those QBs was the lack of pressure on them. I think we are going to be vastly improved in that area as long as Neal is and stays healthy.

I’m sure he’s talented, but there has to be a difference when you know you won’t be hit.

Watching Last Chance U, if Purdue can’t get him down on himself, it’s over

Karlaftis
Neal
Watts
Barnes
Holt
Bailey
Ball/smiley
Major
Mackey
Graham
Mosley

Lots of dropping Barnes and bringing the 4th rusher from all over .. even if Henry gets the ball off.. you hit him as he’s doing it. He will fold

They got pressure on Guiton. Game plan was built to dare Braxton Miller to Throw, which he was bad at. Guiton could actually complete a pass, game over.

This is when we will like that Kenny Major and smiley/Mackey/Allen are who we will rely on and not Cason and Blackmon with major off the bench.. as was the case with EMU

Watching some BTN yesterday with some Purdue replays I remembered how much I cannot stand Tim Cason. Possibly one of the worst players I can remember playimg at Purdue.

Just wasn’t good. I think players like him are rare. He was a three star, he wasn’t a character or laziness issue, and yet he still just wasn’t good. I think he may have been a better player if he was developed as a safety from high school on. The cushion cpaches had to use with he and Blackmon was ridiculous
