Nebraska just bought out a home and home with Tennessee

Your post really shows how shallow your knowledge of Purdue Football really is.
Anyone who knows anything about Purdue football knows that there is a history of Purdue athletes that weren't recruited by the likes of ND, Mich and OH St. but came to Purdue to show their worth against the aforementioned power teams....

Your posts on this forum are never surprising or rich with knowledge.
And your posts are rather demeaning of others.

You have no clue of the meaning of my posts or the point I make, do you?

I have posted multiple times I have zero knowledge. I have posted many times I am a geek and not a jock! And I have also posted this geek who knows nothing knows as much as the jocks here who claim to know everything!

The game of college football has changed a lot since the days of Greise and Dawson! And Purdue football has changed.

I can believe when Purdue had a good team and was winning 8-10 games every year where a player would say he’s coming to Purdue to help them beat the big teams! But no player has said that in the past 5 years! No player joined Walter’s team to beat osu or nd!

I’m also aware of highlight reel and public Press releases! No highlight reel ever shows a player’s weaknesses or mistakes. It only shows highlights. And no player is ever going to state publicly to the media that he came to Purdue so he could be part of a losing team! What do you expect a player to say when he commits to Purdue! Yup, I came here because I heard SIU is on the schedule? You sound like the person who believed tips were NOT going to be taxed because the big guy promised it and you foolishly believed him and didn’t use your brain!

I also post to point out that people like you. Demeaning other posters for their posts would be banned on other forums for your bullying if this board had a moderator !

Show me the internet quotes from Bob Greise and Len Dawson! You are rather funny! You state names knowing there is zero proof to back up or prove your post wrong! And as I said, that was a totally different era of Purdue football. Did Greise of Dawson ever say anything negative to the press? no . I came to Purdue so I could play against and beat Notre Dame? What was he supposed to do to say? Did OSU or Nd even recruit him? All those players you named came to Purdue because we already had a good team.

Today’s QBs don’t come to Purdue so they can beat ND! Ask Card if that was the reason he chose Purdue!

You forgot to mention the most hyped high school QB of all time who came to Purdue. Did he ever state he chose Purdue so he could beat OSU and ND? I guess that’s why he left Purdue to play for Illinois. Did Illinois ever play ND? His name was Jeff George! For some reason I highly doubt ever said he came to Purdue so he could beat the tough teams! He came to Purdue so he could pass!

Your names are called the cradle of QBs. My post and this thread were about scheduling cream puff non conference teams verses tough ones. Your post didn’t address the original post or even relate to mine! All you did was name call me and list a bunch of Qb names! Do you truly believe they came to Purdue just so they could beat Michigan? I highly doubt any of them can be quoted as saying what you said they said!

If you want to talk about the cradle of QBs, start your own thread, This thread was about the pros and cons of scheduling weak non conference teams verses strong competitive ones! In today’s football, NIL is the prime decision maker, not playing ND. Just ask Arch Manning why he chose Texas or ask Card why he chose Purdue. I highly doubt the words ND or OSU will ever the conversation.

The point I made is to schedule cream puffs so the team has a chance to win some games and maybe play in a minor bowl. At Hazell’s press conference, Morgan stated he hired Hazell to bring Purdue to the upper half of the Big10. The upper half of the big 10 is now 7th place. That’s the ceiling of our AD’s hiring action. All he’s really hoping for is to be respectable and have a winning season and go to a bowl. The easiest way to accomplish that objective/goal is to schedule 3 out of conference cream puffs and hope to beat Illinois, northwestern, IU and Minnesota. That’s a 7-5 season and a trip to a minor bowl game. And the alumni are happy! Nobody was happy losing to Oregon st or getting blown away by ND.

So follow the blue print of IU and schedule cream puffs. You end up with a winning season, a bowl game and happy alumni. And you also do better recruiting new players. How about comparing Purdue’s recent recruiting to that of IU. Who was better? Players don’t sign up to play against tough teams. They sign up to play for a winner! Winning >>>>>>>> playing a tough schedule.

No. It’s because we beat them frequently.
4 of those top 5 teams we played were in conference. There is no no reason whatsoever for Purdue to add another in the non con. It's stupid, we absolutely have to get out of ND at minimum. You wanna play Wake, UNC, TCU...whatever I guess. But one of the most talented teams of our lives lost at home to Wake. The best team of our lives lost at home to Bowling Green. We need to start stacking wins.
