will be interesting to see how Neb. reacts to a large defeat and new AD, hopefully their players will quit on Riley.

Just wondering, with the late kickoff will that impact the Breakfast Club partying? We are heading in on Friday and looking to enjoy all the fun on Saturday! Should be a good game!

Same night as Game 4 of the World Series. Better hope the Cubs don't make it.

It would be nice if the Boilers can have a decent outing and get a win in a Prime Time game against the Huskers. It's been a long time. Against a traditional powerhouse team like Nebraska would be great and help recruiting.

I thought getting lights wasn’t going to help us get more night games?

As of this year it is a league rule that one must have lights. The new TV contract and being better is driving this. Also, while I haven't done a full analysis, there seem to be less noon games across the board in the big ten this year.

The breakfast club bars are on the southeast side of campus near State street. It is quite a scene, I would definitely check it out especially since you have time. Students don't care what time the game starts, they will still start drinking at 7am sharp. You can go down the hill farther east to what is called the levy to eat and hit more bars, or you can hit the tailgate fields on the far west end of campus. It is quite a hike so you need to decide where you will park your car before boozing. DO NOT leave your car in Chauncey Hill parking lot near the bars. They will tow it. Either park at the intramural fields and hoof it back and forth or there is a gravel lot South of Harry's chocolate shop you can park in for free. I imagine it will fill up quickly.
Logistically the bars, the stadium, and the intramural fields are all on completely different sides of campus. Be sure to check out a map first. Wear comfortable shoes or plan on using uber.

I've been to many basketball and football games over the years and always park in a garage. I can't remember the last time they weren't free on game days, as long as they had public parking.

Thanks for the info!

We are planning on starting at the "Where Else" Bar for the Breakfast Club fun!

It was reported that the new lights cost roughly $5.6 million. Let's say that the Ohio game, because of the good showing against UofL and being on a Friday boosted the number of seats roughly 20k. That means the first game generated an additional revenue of roughly $600k-$750k. Let's also say the average Joe/Jane spent $15 while at the game....that would be an additional $300k in revenue. That means the total added revenue would be almost $1 million from one night game alone. With this second one and a likely bowl birth on the line against a power program that Purdue could beat the maintain the second spot in the West, it is likely Purdue will see roughly the same amount of revenue boost as the Ohio game. That would mean nearly half of the light investment would see a return in year one...which just goes to show that Burke is a dufus even more.

I don't disagree with what you are saying and it is perfectly applicable to past years. However, there is more driving game times this year than us having lights is all I'm saying.

If you go to the ESPN Big Ten composite schedule at this time, there have been 26 noon games so far this year with 25 games TBD. Last year there were 46 noon games. I assume that it will be tough to get 20 of the 25 upcoming TBD games to be at noon.

Just for comparison:
2015 - 49 noon games
2014 - 54 noon games
2013 - 51 noon games

LOL!!!!!!!Really........Watch grass grow for 4 hours or watch the Boilers........

I'm not a Cubs fan myself but if you think that the Cubs in the World Series wouldn't be a distraction for a large number of Purdue fans then you're mistaken.

I think the new Boiler Gold Beer from People's is $9. But I have heard it is quite tasty.
16oz beers are $7 in the stands and $6 in the end zone. Actually the premium beer may be $9 in the stands but it is only $7 in the end zone. I thought they were only a buck more in the stands but with the late kickoffs, we are usually toast so Mic ultra serves me just fine.

Agree as well with your thoughts but could also be that Fox has picked up more games and they don't grab a noon game...so they are sliding their games to 3:00 and 7:00. I think sliding some of those games for Fox has forced the BTN to moving some games around a bit more.
