Tired of listening to so many of you act like we need them because you’re desperate for an ND friend/your ND boss to approve of you.
Lighten up, BC. I think you are overstating it.

Personally, I think ND will need the BTN more than the reverse. But I hope they end up in the SEC so that all pretentions of academic rigor (disproven by the number of frivolous majors available) are completely dropped. Plus, seeing them get pounded several extra weekends per year would also be appealing - including by their former sleazeball coach with his fake southern accent.

I’m with you and would love to see them in the SEC. I just don’t think the big ten needs them.

I have zero issues with seeing the Domaz twist in the wind….

Their blatant avarice in suckling onto whatever conference would grovel to them (Big East, ACC) was a huge factor in igniting the crazy feeding frenzy we’re seeing in college football today.

They insist on having EVERYTHING on their terms , while offering nothing in return.

They do bring eyeballs to the networks, but not as many as you might think. They ranked #9 in average viewers per game last year, just behind MSU.

Interesting! Where did you see that? Oh how the mighty have fallen, if that's the case.

So I was curious about 22 (when we were BT champs) and we just about fall off the charts. Then I realize these numbers are a two-part combination; you are getting viewership based on Purdue and who they are playing. In 2021 there was ND, OSU and Tennessee for a bowl game, which probably helped jack up the numbers. In 2022 the biggest games were Michigan for the BT championship and LSU for the bowl, plus we had a couple of dogs. be interesting to see what this year produces.

There has to be a reason why the BIG 10 didn’t add Stanford and Cal. I expect other dominos to fall very soon. I also believe there are also many negotiations that are ongoing and hidden.
I seems to me if they would have taken them it would have rounded out the west coast division better, plus there good academic schools too ! Go figure...🤔
