I know that nobody is happy with how last night finished. I'm just finishing up the videos from last night and heard Brian say that he doesn't think Purdue is in as good of shape as everyone else does. I would just ask him and anyone who feels that way to fill out a bracket. I don't mean that in a snarky way. I'm just being honest. Every year since college I put together a spreadsheet sort of similar to what the selection committee has. Everyone here is so overtly Purdue-centric in their mindset. Go look at the competition. Go look at the bubble teams in the Pac 12, SEC, American, Big East, ACC, and even in the Big Ten. Michigan State has equally bad losses to Purdue and fewer top 100 wins. Ohio State is 3-7 in road/neutral games with only 3 good wins all of which were in Columbus. Texas A&M is 0-6 against the top 50. LSU has 3 bad losses and a similar resume to Purdue. Georgia's resume is similar to Purdue. Ole Miss has some brutal losses as well. Colorado State I think has one win over a team currently projected to be in the field. Temple has a home win over Kansas. Dayton is all fluff. UCLA is 3-10 away from home along with 5-11 against the top 100. You all know Texas's record against top teams at this point. Miami and Pitt have some great wins and some horrible losses. Anyhow, you get the picture. Check out cbssports.com as they have great snapshots of each team under the RPI breakdown tab.

They still need I think 34 at large berths to fill out a field. Purdue is tied for second with 3 games to go in the Big Ten. Nobody is saying they can go 0-4 to close the season, but have they given you any reason to believe they would? Furthermore, no one would expect them to get a berth going 0-4. They need to win one more game. Given the 3 teams they face, they need to win one more. A win over any one of those teams left on the schedule would qualify as a solid victory and push the Boilers to 12-6 with a 90%+ chance of a top 4 seed in the Big Ten.
