A non-NIL post that is sure to please since it is about the NBA. Not a huge NBA fan but have been watching bits and pieces of various series. One thing I like about NBA officials is how they call the block/charge. I am not a big fan of the block/charge as called in college. I don’t like it because it takes away from players ability to drive the ball to the basket. It seems in the NBA it must be a blatant charge to get the call, if it is close the call goes as a block. Because of this the jump in front of a guy running full speed call isn’t made, it opens an exciting part of the game that is stymied at the college level.
