I'm the one that said this is the most complete team I have watched in my life as a younger Purdue fan... my god, was I wrong

This is the same old stinking team from the last decade or so. Look AMAZING vs lesser talent, otherwordly... but play at team with athletes and strength? Completely different team.

We get up 11 in the first half... give up a 16 to 0 run.. go up 5 multiple times in OT... still find a way to lose.. not to mention being up 3 with 24 seconds left and everyone in the building and at home KNEW that they were going to tie it.

This team just can not win games it should. Now instead of going up against Nova and possibly Arizona and proving we are real and legit, we lose to FREAKING TENNESSEE and now get to play 2 scrub teams the rest of the tourney, and hell I wouldnt be surprised if we drop 1.

This tourney is now a complete waste, we once again fall to 24th or 25th in the rankings, and it will be the exact SAME SEASON as the last decade... best case scenario a 5th seed... lose in the 1st or 2nd round AGAIN

I am just done honestly, I am going into a practice I know all to well with a lot of the other teams I am a fan of, apathy. It has become my best friend. Today, Purdue, you earned my apathy.

All you positive Paulies that think this is fine and that the season will be any different can shove it. This is the exact type of game that our team always loses, a team with a real chance at something better this year, like a top 3 seed an an elite 8, would win this

nope, same old Purdue

que apathy mode in 3,2,1...................

Yeesh. Relax dude, there is entirely too much basketball left to jump off a ledge after one loss. Plus we actually won a few of these last year, so to say we "always" lose these is a bit incorrect.

We most certainly have gaps to close, but take a breath. It will be okay.

Not me...I will be tuned in to the next game with just as much passion and emotion for Purdue basketball as I've had for the past 40 years. Every win is glorious rapture and every loss is the worst thing that's ever happened to me...for about 10 minutes.

Can't disagree. Hope springs eternal then the first game vs a quicker more athletic team exposes the weaknesses and on to another season of a good but not great team. Certainly not the best Purdue team ever. I can now come back to reality and temper my expectations. My last hope is that Brohm can change the culture.

ya there's plenty of bball left, and none of it changes the fact this is the same team with the same ceiling... this was not some ultra under rated Tenn team. Yes they are better than most expect, but they are not a top tier team. We lose to any team that shows athleticism, grit, and hustle.

we lost to 1 man doing an Iso at the 3 point line and backing his man down over and over and over and didnt adjust

same coaching, same mental weakness, same lack of toughness

Yes, lots of bball left, and we are a tourney team, and a top 20-25 ranked team, but come tourney time, we lose again early

Think it is tough to compete at a high level in college basketball without a stud or two. Purdue's inability to land its share of top Indiana talent shows up against the better teams. Biggie's departure, with his talent and mental strength, makes this another fragile Boiler team. For this team to excel, the Edwards boys have got to become studs and take over games like this. Vince, in particular, has got to man up.

Vince, in particular, has got to man up.
I'm so over Vince. He just doesn't have it. He's a good player, above average even. He can explode for a 25 or 30 point game a couple of times each season...but he's not the guy. When the chips are down he travels, jacks up bad shots, loses the ball, whatever. He's not tuned in 100% of the time. A team full of Dakota Mathias'es beats a team full of Vincent Edwards'es 95 times out of a hundred.

you know it's not only what vince didnt do on offense its how they constantly went at him 1v1 and posted him up and ABUSED HIM over and over

he just kept letting the guy back him down, instead of standing his ground and not backing up

painter did nothing to adjust it at all, not doubling nothing

joke of a loss, honestly

For someone that claims to be done you sure are still here.
