Not going to comment on the game in general...just our two recruits.
Too bad Danielle Cuttino isn't going to play basketball for Purdue, but I'll bet she's going to be a heckuva defender at the net in volleyball. Not a strong basketball presence offensively, but if there were +/- stats for this game, she'd undoubtedly be at the top of that stat. Whenever she was in, KY really struggled in the paint. I counted at least four big blocks, and I'm sure she altered at least that many more shots that fell off the rim. This was definitely a game of runs, and it seemed like every KY run came when she was on the bench. I think she ended up with around 10 RBs, probably tops for either team.
Wish I had as much to say about our only basketball recruit playing in the game, but Erica Moore didn't get many minutes (maybe the least on the team?), and the only "statistics" I had for her time on the floor was how many times she was beaten on a back door play (2), and how many times she was beaten down the floor by her KY counterpart to allow an easy basket (at least twice, and on one of them she also committed a foul after arriving late to the defensive position). She's a big girl, and maybe that size will pay dividends in the B1G, but in this high school All-Star game she was repeatedly out-quicked on almost every play. You can see the potential there, but she's either got to lose some weight to pick up some quickness, or hope our B1G competition forces a heavyweight matchup that she can compete in.
