MSU's Eron Harris Arrested After Drunk Driving Arrest

According to the Lansing State Journal, he's been suspended from all basketball-related activities.

At some schools you are on academic probation just for transferring in for the first year or at least a semester depending on grades. degree seeking achievements, etc.. I assume he has been enrolled for a while but I wonder if there are different standards for transfers with these things . Do schools look at DUI's or other law breaking activities when students are on academic probation? Maybe that's out of the realm of student requirements with the schools. Just a thought.
