Sparty losing makes our loss to Arkansas Little Rock even more hard to take...Final Four would have just been made easier. What you say is true. It was tee'd up for MSU too. Looks like the Cavaliers get the bye into the FF.
lol.....Virginia would have beaten Purdue by 20+.
Purdue will never see a bracket like this again in my lifetime where they essentially had a path to the Final Four. Virginia, the weakest 1 seed and very beatable, Sparty loses in first round. This was tee'd up Painter and crew.
Of course MSU would lose...after we lose. Just makes the lose that much worse. This isn't the first time this has happened.Sparty losing makes our loss to Arkansas Little Rock even more hard to take...Final Four would have just been made easier.
Well, yea Virginia was there before MSU would have been , you are correct in that sense. Not sure if Virginia could have beaten the Boilers. They always choke and they're coach is terrible with x's and o's just like his father was.lol.....Virginia would have beaten Purdue by 20+.

lol, not so sure about that, he chokes in the NCAA just like PainterPurdue fans would crawl thru a minefield of crap to have Tony Bennett replace Matt Painter.
I agree. After watching Purdue play in that game against ark. Why does anyone think Purdue would have beaten Virginia? Even up 14 Purdue was not playing that great. Ark turned up the heat and Purdue wilted.lol.....Virginia would have beaten Purdue by 20+.
Wow you are harsh. Virginia has lost 2 years in a roll to sparty deep in tourney. Alot of you have overrated this Purdue team. Hammons isn't even listed as a 1st rd pick in some mocks. Swanigan made alot of frosh mistakes. Purdue had no PG. Yet they would roll to final 4...Well, yea Virginia was there before MSU would have been , you are correct in that sense. At least Purdue doesn't let an average of 3 players go per year for alcohol abuse, running over players while drinking, mary-jane parties, underage fake ID clubbing, & Creaning. Purdue U. has morals, standards, rules, regulations, curfews, & the best players-coach in the B1G. Yes, it's true that its tough to win in the NCAA, but we got further than IU did in the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis by a landslide while they embarrassed themselves against a team that couldn't even get out of the 1st round of the 2016 NCAA tournament on March 18, 2016 vs. a pedestrian Notre Dame team. (I realize it's technically the 2nd round but please, don't even mention that hoax). We played what very well could be a final four contender in University of Arkansas @ Little Rock. They will prove how good they are in their next game and throttle, I mean just throttle the Iowa State Cyclones. Couple that loss with the MSU beat-down today, vindicates Matt Painter big time. The IU loss to the KY Wildcats tomorrow will make all Purdue fans feel even better because IU can't advance hardly ever as well .... Let's just think of recent history ,,, Mike "Mediocre" Davis, Kelvin "Train-Wreck" Sampson, Dan "Baldy" Dakich, could not bring that ship-wreck of a program back to prominence -- Now who is at the helm, LOL, you guessed it CLAP-I-TAN, he is the worst coach I have ever witnessed in this state and I've seen some bad ones, he isn't quite as bad as Dakich, but is an abomination.Wow you are harsh. I believe Purdue could be a better team next year. Hammons loss hurts but they will have key players older. Depends on the development of certain players like Haas, Swanigan and others...

Yep, agree, however, he almost came back and beat Indiana on their own home court. Not many people can say they did that this year.We figured that by now, 'ol honey badger would have gotten something like bird flu, histoplasmosis or E. coli from all of the "crow" he's supposedly had to eat over the last month.
I like Painter. Good guy.
Horrific job in this game, however. Period.
