A source says that Vince Edwards participated in 'non-contact' drills during Purdue's practice Saturday morning prior to departing for Ohio State and he should be considered 'questionable' for the Ohio State game.

This is good news.

Edwards took his concussion test this morning. Had he flunked it, one would assume he'd have been totally idled for Saturday morning's workout and not acknowledged to be a possibility to play against the Buckeyes.

Either way, we'd expect Basil Smotherman to start his second consecutive game. Edwards hasn't practiced substantively since taking an elbow in the head early in the week.

Smotherman had 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting and no turnovers in 35 minutes against Rutgers.
