Something to the effect that Darell knows Morgan loves him because he sees him at practice every day supporting them. Something like "He is out there so he sees the progress we make." But if there is absolutely no sign of progress when the rest of the world can see it... What is the point?

Only game day observations mean anything and if Hazell remains and Shoop isn't gone there is NO hope for this program to succeed under Hazell!

My concern is that Burke is too involved with the program. Remember Hope's "futuristic recruiting plan"? That does not sound like a phrase Hope would use, and I always wondered if this was Burke's hairbrain idea. I watched IU play even with Michigan yesterday, and I was reminded of where many of the Indiana kids are playing college football after we decided to make Florida our home recruiting turf. That was one of the dumbest ideas Purdue football has come up with recently.

I think Burke likes these young coaches that he can "mentor". Part of the reason why Tiller and Burke struggled, is that Tiller kept him at arms length, as any competent coach should do.

Silly me, I would have guessed Florida to be outside the "State of Purdue".... Who knew?!

This thought never crossed my mind since Burke's comments about the football program seem so generic as to be detached. I never get the impression that he is challenging DH on how he's coaching -- you know like why are you pinning your hope of success on Shoop when it seems obvious that he's not got a clue. Or you'd think he's ask DH 'Why aren't we trying some field goals?' DH would say Grigg's has the yips and MB might ask 'don't we have a back up?' If not why not? Do you honestly get the impression that Burke makes Haz squirm with some interrogating questions punctuated with a ' We need some W's -- SOON! I sure don't. Just seems to be business as usual.

Florida has to be the recruiting base for Purdue. No Indiana kids want to play for such a pathetic program.
