Moore with 28 going into the fourth

I don’t understand this Pro game. When it’s on the line the ball goes to the guy that makes the most money? Is that the rule

Sometimes it's tough to find representative highlights of an NBA game. This youtube channel has nba games showing every made field goal (yet still less than 10 minutes in length). Considering Smooge had 15 made fgs, he's all over this clip. I used to say it when he was a boiler, but Smooge's mid range game is so nice. Those shots for him are like a layup. He is shooting 52% from the field this year and 45% from 3. Damn.

Also, of note, Eric Gordon had 27 pts as well. Makes me think back to that state championship game in which Smooge led E Chicago over Gordon's team. Nice to see both still having success at the highest level of basketball and representing the state of Indiana well.

He's shooting 68% from three in December.

Yeah, I thought of that too. Facing off in high school, college and the pros. Glad to see them both doing well.

E'Twaun really seems to be settling into a groove with the Pelicans. I feel like his defense and steadiness has kept him on the court, and now his offense is starting to come around. With Davis, Cousins, and Rondo, it seems like they should have a better record, though.

I will turn this into all my thoughts thread. Minnosota gets by powerhouse Drake by 1
Since you initially de-railed the thread here with the Drake mention, let me add an anecdote seared in my memory. 1969 Final Four, when they still played the consolation game (aka the "Third Place" game) before the final.

Drake had lost to UCLA in the semi-finals in a close one 85-82, and then they beat North Carolina in the consolation game by 20 (we'd beaten NC by 27 in our half of the semis). As the final game got more and more out of hand when Mount's cold streak hit, the Drake fans started chanting "We're #2! We're #2!". Really hurt because we all knew the Purdue team with a "normal" Mount and a healthy Bavis would have beaten Drake and given UCLA all they could handle, but it just wasn't meant to be. I had no idea at that time how often in the next five decades I'd still be saying that.

This is nuts!!

http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/field-goals/sort/shootingEfficiency

#4 in the league in shooting efficiency, the entire league! The 3 guys ahead of him are C's who don't take a shot outside of 2 feet.

Highest ranked Guard.

He's 3rd right now in 3pt FG%, #1 if you only count those with at least 100 attempts. What's crazy is his 2pt shooting % @ 0.583.

Surely there will be reversion to the mean, but he is the definition of hot so far, what a start.

Go Smooge!

3pt Data: http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/3-points

Wonder if Indy would try to grab him in free agency or in a trade. Pacers appear to be one really good player away from having a team that could make a run to the Eastern Conference Title. If they could get Smooge along with Oladipo in the back court, that would be a potential high scoring and athletic tandem to add to the young front court they have. Might be enough to get a big time free agent to come to Indy to lead them to the Finals.

Amazing what the removal of one player can do to a locker room and a team. From all accounts, Paul George had grown to be a major issue in the locker room and the entire organization.

Its unlikely the Pelicans would want to get rid of him. He has really boosted their weak outside shooting.
