Went a little bit late because daughter and family came in from Wiscoldsin, so didn't get to see much of the action.

David is running with the 1's and looks good. Elijah was in class and not present. Alstott and Sipe looked respectable and so did Jack.

After practice we hung around and talked to several players and a couple coaches. Brohm and Barclay both approached us and were very cordial. My son-in-law, a huge Badger fan, was really impressed with both.

He also had been impressed with DJ from last year, so as DJ walked off the field, we chatted with him for 5 minutes or so. My son-in-law is even more impressed with him now.

We were also impressed with the friendliness and conversations with Blough and Mahoungou. They (son-in-law and daughter) wondered if Wiscoldsin football treated the general public the same way and really appreciated the openness and accessibility of the Purdue personnel. They said it was the highlight of their stay in West Lafayette.

I think we're headed in the right direction.

------------------ Side bar -----------------

A little scuff up between a DT and an O-lineman. The extra-curricular activity received some "extra attention" from the head coach as he followed each player to their running assignments and gave them some extra 'encouragement'.

P.S. I'll be a little more attentive when I'm not helping to corral 2 granddaughters, whose main activity was to run into the blocking sled.

Thanks DDL! From what you've seen of the QB's after David and Elijah, who looks the most "ready"?

Have been to every practice this spring, and Jack Plummer throws very accurate deep passes. All of the wide receivers and slot receivers are enjoying practices because all of the quarterbacks are throwing well. Jackson Anthrop catches everything remotely close to him and looks more like a Taylor Stubblefield clone with each practice. Jackson catches a lot of balls over the middle! Tight ends are sharing in the receiving also. Boilers are in a very good position at QB with David, Elijah, Nick Sipe, and Jack Plummer. Even Aaron Banks, 5th year senior, and Aidan O'Connell, red shirt freshman, have gotten some reps and have thrown the ball well in their limited opportunities. Griffin Alstott getting some reps also, but he is well down the list of QBs. Lots of competition going on at multiple positions making for very interesting practices!

Mahoungu? I thought he graduated? Is he a grad assistant?
