Mike Ditka fired for endorsing Trump. ESPN is the biggest control

freak anywhere. Who cares who Ditka endorses. I don't really care if he endorses Trump, Hillary or a donkey. Isn't that someone's personal viewpoint. As long as it isn't derogatory toward ESPN or verbalized while on ESPN....It shouldn't matter. Mike Lupica has been on ESPN for many years....He writes and says a lot of liberal viewpoints and he was never let go because of those comments and he shouldn't if he is making those comments outside of ESPN. Right, Left, or indifferent: Stay out of politics ESPN! It's funny how they decide on what the proper view point is. Cris Carter makes unbelievable remarks and he stays( A whole different story). What a joke that network has become. Sometimes it is hard to avoid when the Boilers are on or there is another game I want to see. As far as Sportscenter, NFL count down, or Chris Berman anything.... I avoid.
liberal media... peopel forget that

Hate Chris Berman, He's just awful

Stay out of politics ESPN!
That's exactly the message ESPN is trying to send. ESPN is in the money making business, not politics. If one of its on-air personalities is dumb enough to say something profound like a sitting U.S. President is the worst in the history of the U.S., and that alienates a large segment of ESPN's audience, well, that's not good for business. G'bye.

If you don't like it, change the channel.

Not related to this, but I never watch ESPN aside from games. Their network is god awful now a days. It's like a pop culture/drama network.

If I really ever care about some highlights I watch FS1, but I rarely even do that.

Just curious, does this false narrative make you mad at the source that fed it to you? As in, "fool me once..."?

Yes stay out of politics ESPN by having your football analysts discuss politics. Outstanding logic and election year hysteria at it's best!.

Right there with you. The anchors on Sportscenter or pre/post game shows think they have to be comedians to do the highlights or talking about a subject. A little wit goes a long way. They try to make damn near every single sentence they say have a punchline.

I watch ESPN only for the games. I sometimes will watch ESPN News if I want to catch a specific highlight, but they are putting other programming other than the 30-minute highlight show on that station more and more now. If I want MLB highlights or news, I will watch MLB Network. Same goes for NBA and NFL. I also found that FS1 is actually pretty decent for late-night highlights and especially going deeper into the games with more interviews.
