Purdue has the best duo of offensive post bigs in the country. Your team will go as Edwards improves and Cline returns. Perimeter shooting needs to be stabilized.
I figured Nova's early strategy would be to fire Hart at the rim and collect fouls. Exactly what happened. Wings just can't keep him in front of them and he forces bigs to contest at the rim. Without that strategy Haas is on the floor more and Purdue probably wins. Jenkins had his worst game in quite a while. Nova has a couple nice weapons off the bench in Bridges and Paschall to provide offense when one of the main guys has an off night. Phil Booth barely played tonight as Nova was forced to go big at the other wing positions to team rebound.
Hopefully we don't have to contend with Haas and Swanigan again down the road. The NCAA did us NO favors with the atrocious Omari Spellman ruling but Nova is probably good enough at the other 4 positions to be a #1 seed again this yr. If we see you guys again at least it won't be in that building. Best of luck this year.
