don't see it being rescheduled neither, Mich's biggest gap is Feb 12 - 17th but we have a game on 13th and 16 thSo they cancel the MSU game Saturday morning right after midnight so they can include Purdue in the so called quarantine period. They don't have any player with covid but they meet their protocol whatever that is. Coincidence they are doing the turtle for two of the top teams in the B1G and college? I think not.
They did the same thing to Ill last year in basketball skipping games so they had a better winning percentage while less wins and loss head to head.
They did the same thing in football the covid year with two more losses looming after MSU beat them again.
They should adopt a duck for their mascot. When they come to play at MSU expect to hear quacking for their ducking the game.
Depending on how many, if any, other teams go on Covid pauses, I could see the schedules being shifted quite a bit down the line. Maybe they move games around and have us playing the 13th, 15th, and 18th (just an example. I haven’t looked at the schedule). There are probably going to be instances where one of our future games is postponed and we can replace it with Michigan.don't see it being rescheduled neither, Mich's biggest gap is Feb 12 - 17th but we have a game on 13th and 16 th
Again, this goes to Purdue (or MSU...or whatever opponent(s)) paying a price for UM's problems...Purdue having to potentially play 3 times in 5 days to accommodate UM for UM's problems (the extent of which truly are not even known) is precisely why this should result in a UM forfeit.Depending on how many, if any, other teams go on Covid pauses, I could see the schedules being shifted quite a bit down the line. We should be able to dictate the date of any potential rescheduled game.Again, this goes to Purdue (or MSU...or whatever opponent(s)) paying a price for UM's problems...Purdue having to potentially play 3 times in 5 days to accommodate UM for UM's problems (the extent of which truly are not even known) is precisely why this should result in a UM forfeit.
No doubt, but, new "Covid rules" state clearly that the conference will handle it.We should be able to dictate the date of any potential rescheduled game.

Literally, I can see the Conference saying something along the lines of, "Well, you are free on Monday, that should work."...with no consideration for a game on Saturday and Wednesday.
Or, “hey you’re gonna be in East Lansing on Saturday, just swing by Ann Arbor on Sunday on your way home - no big deal!”Literally, I can see the Conference saying something along the lines of, "Well, you are free on Monday, that should work."...with no consideration for a game on Saturday and Wednesday.
Like you, I have no faith in the Conference...in fact, they are why this is even happening.
I paid a small fortune for tix to the IU game. That’s game is also senior night so I am really looking forward to it. I hope it still happens as I have been waiting patiently for awhile already.Well we have tics to 2 games this month and pray that we get to use them. So tired of this bullshit.
Where have I heard that before?Maybe they end up cancelling the conference tournament and try to get a couple of games in that week.
It's probably going to be asked every year covid affects the regular schedule!Where have I heard that before?
Optimistically, when will all the BS be over? Miss sports being sports and life VERY BADLY!Well we have tics to 2 games this month and pray that we get to use them. So tired of this bullshit.
I honestly think we’ll see this surge be short. This variant is super contagious but less dangerous. Think of how much better things got from January to March of last year, and that was without widespread vaccines. I expect a similar trajectory to what happened in South Africa, but who knows? Just trying to give you optimism.Optimistically, when will all the BS be over? Miss sports being sports and life VERY BADLY!

Thank You! If I never saw another mask, plastic shield at a grocery store, etc. ever again in the U.S., that would be GREAT!I honestly think we’ll see this surge be short. Whether all people will be okay with going back to normal when hospitalizations plummet but there are still cases is another question. This can’t last forever. Eventually, people will just stop caring, regardless of the numbers. The alternative could be never returning to normal, which is unacceptable to 99% of people.
I’d vote for Feb 24. 2 days before we play at MSU, and one day after Michigan plays Rutgers at home.Looking at both schedules there are zero dates they have open where neither team would be playing back to back dates. If they reschedule I hope Purdue gets to pick the date.
Agree with most of this given the current guidelines and what we know about Omicron. However, who knows if this thing will still be around in current form or as another version in March. Doesn't matter if we decide to ignore it, guys still may need to miss games if they are feeling ill no matter if the country decides to accept it as endemic.I honestly think we’ll see this surge be short.
