Mel Tucker

Got a 10 year, $95 million extension this week.

I wonder if those MSU alums who footed the bill are watching the O$U pasting of MSU.

Edit: They lost by 49 points.
eh, they over achieved this and beat UM so I'm sure they are happy

I’m sure that weird cornerback from MSU got used worse than our DBs. Ohio state figured it out.. just sucks we were the first team they played when they did

Franklin and Freeze got big extensions too.
Maybe I am missing something...or in the minority on the matter, but, did it scream in either case "lock this guy up for 10 years"?

The last time I remember a guy getting a 10-year contract extension for a ton of money was Chuck Weis at ND...after they LOST a game to USC...because it was close.

Franklin has been fine at PSU, but, has not set the world on fire by any means. Tucker...was fine at Colorado...lousy year a year ago in his first season in East Lansing, but, so many outside factors may have impacted it...but, who has he beat this year, aside of UM, who lost the game way more than MSU won it?

Both schools have apparently decided that they have "their guy" for the foreseeable future and who they want to have running their respective program. It will be interesting to see if either, much less both, reach the end of the new contracts they just agreed to.

Freeze at freaking LIBERTY now making $4 mil per year. Really puts Brohm’s contract in perspective. Looking more like an absolute bargain by the day.
I really don’t get this bonanza. Weren’t all these athletic departments supposed to be hemorrhaging money???

There is almost no way Tucker is worth this money.

I suspect Penn State will beat them leaving them with 3 losses in their last 4 games. They could have easily lost a couple more this year.
